AS350B-1 Ecureuil Scale 1: ...finger

No idea why I did that little Squirrel, normally I do 72 scale building, but ok eyes are fading with age so that was maybe my last chance for such a project. Scale is something about 1:400 and the raw material was a bit of resin. There's not much to tell about the build, fit was fine, haha, not many parts but very fiddling assembly. Landing gear was bent from a bit of metal rod, rear rotor axle was done from a very thin needle for accupuncture, decals designed on Corel after the real thing and printed on my Alps and rotors in etched material custom made by a fellow railroader. It was a quick built weekend project and handbrushed as I didn't want to bother clean my airbrush for it. Maybe the biggest skill here was to have the patience for it and control my big fingers.

The full size chopper is an Austrian Police heli found on the net, I chose it because it had reasonable big text and cheat lines to be done in this tiny scale. The small white text shows "Bundesministerium des Inneren", its there but no more readable being just 0.15 mm high.

Tried to show you the actual size, not easy but here are some comparisons you might recognize.

I did enjoy it, but honestly.......now I'll be back to the big 72 scale again.
