Hello from the Philippines! Last February 12, I was stranded in a neighboring
Island due to a passing storm. In my hotel room I could not think of anything else to while
the time away except to go to a local hobby shop and buy me small and simple kits
to build in a short time because I knew the storm would pass in a day or two.
There was a 1/72 A6M5 Zero kit by Academy and a same scale Hellcat by Hobby Boss.

I started to build the two kits simultaneously, since I was not with
my usual model building area at
home (which was about 100 miles away across the open sea, I had to make do with whatever available paint
and glue there was which my limited resources could buy (being stranded drains your resources fast!). Anyhow the builds
were fun
and I completed the two kits in about 12 hours. The paints used were Tamiya acrylics and were brushed on, I could not get a very accurate
color because I had to make do with the available colors mixing some to get a more or less color for the planes.
After I got
partially done (no weathering job yet), I took pictures of the models through
my 3.2mp cell phone camera. When I finally got home I made an Aerial Diorama
with my photoshop, clip clip cut and paste!!.....
Hope you enjoy the
pics!!
