The
third plane is
a P-47D-10 #42-75121 flown by Group Commander Col. Hub Zemke of the
61st FS, 56th FG in April-May 1944. This plane is a Olive drab on
top and Neutral Grey on the underside with a red engine ring. Hub
Zemke was flying this aircraft when he obtained "double
Ace" Status. this was also the plane he was flying when
he was almost shot down by Luftwaffe Ace Gunther Rall (275 kills)
on May 12, 1944.
The decals were flawlessly printed and the clear
carrier film is trimmed very close to the crisply printed colored areas, which
is always good to see. Extra national insignia fuselage decals
are supplied depending whether you display the supercharger door
open or closed.
There instructions
are clear and an extra pages of text instruction as well as stencil placement
line drawings are included with a small bit of info on each
plane.
A very nice product
and highly recommended.
I would like to
thank Cutting Edge
Modelworks for providing me with this review sample.
