--------------------

This new decal sheet from Wolfpak Decals includes markings for 5 different 1/48 aircraft including a F-4D, F-16C+, A-10A and two MC-130E's.

The first aircraft is a F-4D 60-267 flown by Capt John Madden with the 555th TFS, 8th TFW out of Ubon AFB, Thailand in Sept 1972.  The paint scheme for this aircraft is Green/Breen/Brown SEA scheme with gray on the underside.  Noseart consists of white text that reads "Miss Martha" along with 2 Red Star victory markings.  Madden scored these 2 kills on Sept 9 1972 (5th and 6th kills for his back seater) and later Madden scored a third kill and completed 254 combat missions during his combat tour.

The second aircraft is a F-16C+ with the 170th Fighter Squadron, 183rd Fighter Wing, Illinois ANG at Capital airport, Springfield, Illinois.  The paint scheme for this aircraft is a lo-viz 2 tone gray scheme.  At the top of the rudder is a horizontal blue stripe with  the word "Illinois".

The third aircraft is a A-10A Thunderbolt II with the 357th Fighter Squadron, 355th Fighter Wing, Davis-Monthan AFB, Tucson, AZ in 2006.  The paint scheme for this aircraft is a lo-viz gray scheme.  The 357th is a trains squadrona nd when at home they wear colorful markings.  Loviz markings are also included if you want to build one of the A-10's from Davis-Monthan AFB serving in Afghanistan.

The fourth aircraft is a MC-130E "Combat Talons"  special forces aircraft in the early camo scheme as it appeared during the Iranian Hostage Rescue Mission "Operation Eagle Claw".

The fifth aircraft is a MC-130E "Combat Talons"  special forces aircraft in the early camo scheme as it appeared during the Son Tay Prison Raid.  Son Tay Prison was located 23 miles from Hanoi and on Nov. 21, 1970 a raid involving a variety of aircraft and Special Forces made a rescue attempt to free American POW's.  The mission involved no American deaths, but the POW's had been moved from the camp 4 months earlier, so none were freed.

The decals are contained on one decal sheet and there are 6 pages of instructions which include color camo layout images and plenty of text about each aircraft including painting instructions.  You are also provided with plenty of info about weapons loadout.

This is another great decal sheet from Wolfpak Decals that includes a variety of historically interesting aircraft which is always good to see.
