I am back with
some more samples of Rising
Decals. This time the subjects are allied aircraft. The "Yankee
Spitfires" Corsica & Italy, 1943-1944 decal sheet in 1/72 scale is sold
under product number RD 72019. This small sheet offers decals for 4 Spitfires
of 52nd FG.

Spitfire Mk.Vc trop. from 4th FS, 52nd FG flown by 1st Lt. John
Blythe. This aircraft carries a Texas Flag and name Helen
Louise (Crew Chiefs girlfriend) on the starboard side.

Spitfire Mk.IXc (early) from 5th FS, 52nd FG. This aircraft is former RAF
High Altitude fighter in Medium Sea Grey and PRU Blue camo scheme.

Spitfire Mk.Vc from 5th FS, 52nd FG flown by Lt. John Anderson who downed 2
Me 109s on 15th Feb.1944 (decal with kill marks included). Aircraft carries
unusual three-toned camo scheme - this is one colorful Spitfire!

Spitfire Mk.IXc (early) from 4th FS, 52nd FG seen in Corsica in January
1944. This plane was also flown by F/O Bob Hoover (famous post war display
pilot).
