REVI magazine from
Czech Republic started year 2009 with release of their fourth decal sheet in
both popular scales. They are sold under numbers 72004 & 48004. This time
their subjects are 5 Luftwaffe aircraft: two Bf 109s and three Bf 110s.
1. Messerschmitt Bf
109 E-1, "White 2" flown by Lt. Egon Troha of 7./JG 26 Werl Air Base,
October 1939. This aircraft features a drawing of a white angel with a
smoking Colt on the fuselage.
2. Messerschmitt Bf
109 F-4, "White 5" flown by Oblt. Gerhard Barkhorn of 4./JG 52 (301
victories). This aircraft carries yellow markings, typical for early stage
of Russian campaign. Barkhorn's girlfriend name "Christi" can be
seen on the fuselage (port side).
3. Messerschmitt Bf
110 C "M8 +GK" flown by Oblt. Wolfganf Falck while with 2./ZG 76 at
Kielce, Poland in late September 1939. Aircraft carries a cartoon of a
"Lady bug" - symbol of 2. Staffel.
4. Messerschmitt Bf
110 E-1 "G9+GA", Falck's another personal aircraft this time from
Arnhem, Netherlands 1943 while flying with NJG 1 (Nachtjagdgeschwader 1). A
"Lady bug" was painted under the canopy again accompanying an "Englandblitz"
(symbol of night fighters).
5. Messerschmitt Bf
110 G-4/R8/B2 "C9+EN" flown by Oblt. Wilhelm Johnen in 1944. Aircraft
is pictured while armed with two MG 151/20mm cannons and two MG FF/M 20mm
cannons installed in "Schrage Musik" configuration. A short version of
the very interesting story of the crew of this aircraft is included. (Full
story is in REVI No.22).
Instructions are
printed in English on glossy paper (same for both scales) with Czech translation
(insert) and nicely show decal placements for each aircraft (multiple views with
upper and lower surfaces). Colors for each aircraft are listed with
RLM numbers. These are well researched subjects with all the references (REVI
magazines with specific numbers) also listed.
Decals are printed
in high quality by Aviprint and were design by Rising Decals. All national
insignias are included and all the unit "artwork" as well as
"victory marks" are just superb (very crisp) and in perfect register.

As the "Volume 1"
reveals, we can expect more to come and
if in same quality, we will have some special treats in near future.

Fans", don't hesitate to order these great decals while available at: www.modelimex.com
or contact REVI at www.revi.cz
Team REVI: "Job well done,
but with Dragon's Bf 110 and Eduard's Bf 109 in 1/32 scale on the market, what
is the chance to see these great decals in that scale too?"
Thank you Peter Stachura for
supplied samples!
