This latest release
from Aerobonus features
a pair of resin UB-16-57 Soviet rocket launchers to use on your next Russian
aircraft model. This rocket pod was used on a variety of aircraft
from the fast moving Su-7, MiG-19, MiG-23, Su-20 to slower moving
helicopters. Check your references to see if the aircraft you are building
carried these rocket launchers.
The UB-16-57 rocket
launchers were developed in the 1960's and carried 16 rockets. UB-16-57
stands for "Universal Block - 16 rockets - 57mm launch tube".
These rocket pods could be carried on typical bomb hardpoints. The UB-16
was designed to fire Russian S-5 rockets.

The quality of the resin casting is
flawless and bubble free. The detailing is first rate and the
instructions are easy to follow and include a painting guide. You also get
a full set of stencil decals to add the final critical level of detail to your
rocket launchers. All the holes are hollow for added realism.
It's great to see Aerobonus
releasing these rocket pods. I can think of quite a few different aircraft
and loadouts to use these pods on and I think these pods will be very popular
with modellers wanting to add some extra weapons systems to their Russian model.
The crispness of the detail is quite nice to see.
You can purchase this and other
fine resin detail items directly from Aerobonus
or from the many retailers that carry their products.
I would like to
thank Aerobonus for
providing me with this review sample.
