Andreas Gordes has hit a home run with his 1/48 Tamiya F-16C - Washington Viper.  Andreas used a variety of goodies to get exceptional detail, but it is the Tailart that is the focal point of this beautifully done F-16.  Andreas  gave his F-16 a full but carefully done weathering job and loaded it with a full weapons load to show it' potential in life.  I love the look of this F-16.

Greg Kerry shows his expert diorama skills with his 1/72 Hobbyboss Bf-109G.  Greg created a scene from 1945 of an abandoned 109 and damaged half track using all the wonderful techniques that armour modellers take as second nature and thankfully he explains all this in his article.  I think Greg's scene is very convincing and does remind me of the scenes I've seen in pictures of abandoned Luftwaffe airfields.  Very nicely done Greg...you rock!!!

Fly-n-hi joins us with his 4th model on ARC.  This is the classic 1/48 Monogram AV-8B Harrier complete in a late '70's USMC camo and loaded with a full weapons load.  This is an older kit, but as you will see in the photos.....it still builds into a very good looking model if given a tiny bit of love and patience.

Giannis Doxas gets this special Greek update started with his fully detailed 1/48 Heller M-2000 EGM Mirage.  Giannis added plenty of aftermarket sets and then did plenty of scratchbuilding on this old Heller kit to produce his highly detailed Mirage.  It does not get better than this.

Dragan Cvetic has done a wonderful job on the classic 1/72 Revell T-2C Buckeye.  Dragan has added scratchbuilt details to the cockpit and also rescribed his Buckeye before giving it one of his special paint jobs for a Hellenic Air Force T-2C Buckeye.  I love seeing Dragan's latest model on ARC.

Rod Bettencourt has gone the extra mile on his 1/48 Hasegawa F-18F.  Rod added a large selection of aftermarket detail sets including a resin cockpit and intakes and metal landing gear along with aftermarket decals.  But it is his photos that will leave you in awe....they are very realistic.

Kees Kuyper is back with a very creative pusher aircraft based on the F-89.  This is his Northrop heavy fighter and I have to admit it is an aircraft that actually looks like it would fly.  Kees always amazes me with his creative aircraft.

Burt Gustafson gets things started today with his beautifully done 1/48 HobbyBoss F-105G Thunderchief.  Burt outfitted his Thud with drop tanks and a loadout specific to the F-105G as it appeared over Vietnam.  Burt tells the history of the F-105G as well as what was required to build this Gem of a model.

Dragan Cvetic is here with one of the prettiest 1/72 Airfix BAE Hawk's I have seen.  The desert camo of this UAE Hawk looks excellent.  Dragan added some scratchbuilt detailing to the cockpit and complete his Hawk with the canopy open to show off all the added detail.  It's a great look camo scheme for a Hawk.

Claudio Moura gets things started today in style with his very attractive 1/72 Academy A-37.  Claudio gave his Dragonfly resin and photo etch detail parts and finished it off on the earth colored camo of the Chilean Air Force.  I always enjoy seeing Claudio's latest model on the ARC homepage.

Raul Corral has finished his 1/48 Eduard Supermarine Spitfire Mk. IXc Late in a full D-Day stripes with a pilot figure displayed in-flight and full weathering.  Raul is a skilled modellers and you will see that in the photos of his Spitfire including the pre-assembly shots of the cockpit and pilot.  There is no WW2 fighter that is quite as pretty as the Spitfire.

Dragan Cvetic had quite the roller coaster ride with bad luck during the build of his 1/72 Academy Super Etendard.  Dragan dropped this one quite a few times requiring much effort to piece the wreckage back together.  He did add Eduard photo etch and Superscale decals to complete this gem.

Busolini Massimo has done a gorgeous job detailing and weathering his 1/48 Hasegawa F-104ASA-M Starfighter.  Busolini added a cockpit set, avionics bay, resin ejection seat and other detail parts to create his awesome Starfighter in Italian Air Force (Aeronautica Militare) markings.

Polly Singh has created quite the time capsule of a scene for his 1/48 Tamiya Fw 190A-3.  Polly did a splendid job on his Tamiya 190 and then scratchbuilt the muddy battle time scene complete with figures and a German medal.  I enjoyed seeing every photo of this diorama.

Michael "Chewie" Choo joins us with his very colorful 1/72 Hasegawa F-16C 111FS Texas ANG.  Michael chose retro markings to adorn his F-16 in an in-flight display.  It's a very cool looking paint scheme and Michael pulled if off in style.

Ghana Independence Day

Busolini Massimo has done an amazing job creating his 1/48 Trumpeter F-100C Supersabre.  Busolini replaced the exhaust and cockpit with Aires sets and opened up access panels along the fuselage and gave his F-100 a peeled paint job for a tired former Turkish jet.  The weathered paint job on this Supersabre is amazingly realistic.

Bill Dedig has taken the 1/72 Monogram SNAP-TITE and poured aftermarket goodies including resin engines and his own skill into rescribing the model along with other work to turn this rather basic kit into a stunning example of an early B-26.  Enjoy his article as Bill takes you on his modeling odyssey and then enjoy the photos he took along the way.  I love the choice of paint schemes.

Ramon R. Lomeli did an exceptional job creating his 1/48 Monogram EF-4C Phantom.  Ramon started with a F-4C Phantom that he converted to EF-4C configuration with some scratch built parts.  Ramon gave his Phantom a weapons load and drop tanks and full weathering for a Vietnam War jet using decals from TwoBobs.

Spitfire - Maiden flight of Spitfire in 1936

Frederick Smith has done an exceptionally fine job finishing his 1/144 Revell Shuttle Stack.  Frederick did some scratchbuilt detailing to improve on the Revell kit and then excelled at his technique for doing heat tiles on the underside.  Thankfully there is a photo of the underside for you to marvel at.    Frederick built a very eye catching display to showcase his Space Shuttle and from my point of view I can not think of anything that could make this Space Shuttle display and model look any better.

Orlando Sucre Rosales joins us from warm Caracas, Venezuela with his latest gem.  This is his 1/72 Hasegawa TBF-1C Avenger in WW2 North Atlantic camo and detailed with antennas and antenna wires and other details.  This is a very eye catching Avenger and I always enjoy seeing Orlando's latest models on ARC.

Dragan Cvetic has been skillful in rescribing the panel lines and adding rivets to his 1/72 Academy MiG-23 MF.  Dragan used a cockpit and nose cone from another kit and scratchbuilt weapons pylons before finishing his MiG-21 as a Syrian jet with the ever so attractive desert camo.  I love the look of this 'Fishbed'.

Richard Spreckley is here with his beautifully detailed 1/48 Kittyhawk Jaguar GR3 wearing one of the most attractive camo scheme worn by the Jaquar.  Richard added an Aires cockpit, opened an avionics bay and added scratchbuilt detail to one of the engines that he exposed.  He added weapons from Flightpoath and wrapped it all up in one of the amazing looking Snowcat camo schemes.  The winter theme was continued with his diorama base.  This project pulled together excellently and shows Richard's high level of skill and patience as a modeller.

Carlos Escobar has added great levels of detail including scratch built and after market detail items to his 1/35 Dragon Hughes 500M Armada.  This is a Spanish Navy chopper and all the details were done to add plenty of accuracy for a Spanish Navy bird.  The model is secured with chains to a carrier flight deck diorama base with flawless realism.  1/35 leaves plenty of room for detailing and Carlos kept busy adding plenty of glorious detailing to his chopper.  This one is a beauty.

Tolga Ülgür joins us from Turkey with his nicely detailed and exceptionally well finished 1/48 Hasegawa F-104G.  Tolga went with a Turkish Starfighter wearing a weathered and multi-shaded bare metal finish.  The cockpit received special detailing as well giving his F-104 a very realistic look from every angle.  For me personally it is always a treat to see Tolga's latest model on ARC and this one is no exception....I love the look of it.

Gary Hatherly starts today off in a very big and highly detailed way with his 1/32 Tamiya F-15C.  Gary used a massive amount of aftermarket goodies and scratchbuilt parts and then completed his Eagle with a most impressive shading and weathering job.  This F-15 is a must see.

Carmel J Attard is here with his splendid looking 1/72 Italeri Fairchild C-119G Boxcar.  Carmel chose an RCAF C-119 using Leading Edge Decals for the attractive high viz bare metal finish that the Canadian C-119's were famous for.  This is an excellent addition to Carmel's display case.

Eric Hargett has done a stellar job on his 1/48 Kinetic Grumman EA-6B Prowler.  Eric added the Aires cockpit set along with scratchbuilt detail and then posed his Prowler with folded wings.  The crowning touch was the painting and weathering job for his USN Gulf War jet.  Very impressive work Eric.
