Ralph "RKic" Koziarski had a good time building his sharp looking 1/72 Hasegawa Harrier GR.7.  Ralph gave his British Harrier a full weapons load as well as some seatbelts to dress up the cockpit.  I love the look of this Harrier.

Andrew Johnson has done a marvelous job building and finishing his 1/144 Revell Super Constellation.  Andrew finished his Super Connie in Air France Livery.  In one photo in his article he has managed to get all the props spinning

Kees Kuyper is here with his special "what if" 1/72 Horten Go 229.  This is a twin fuselage Horten Go 229 which actually looks quite convincing.  Beautiful job Kees....I love the look of your finished model.

I'd like to send out special birthday greetings to ARC moderator Alby Moore.  Have a good one Alby!!!

Sal gets things fired up today in fine style with his 1/48 Tamiya A-1J Skyraider.  Sal built his Skyraider out of the box with a beautifully done pre-shading on the panel lines for that perfect weathered look.  Sal built his Skyraider in Vietnam War markings as an addition to his growing Vietnam war collection.

Sten Arne B Brunsby was quite impressed with the fit on his 1/48 AFV F-5N.  This F-5 is finished in the very attractive blue camo of an aggressor F-5.  Sten did a fantastic job on this F-5 and I know you're going to love seeing the pictures of it.  

Fabio joins us from Italy with his first article on ARC.  This is his 1/48 Hasegawa A6M5 Zero.  Fabio added photo etch seat belts to dress up the cockpit and then added a stunning weathering job with some custom painted markings for added realism.  Welcome to ARC Fabio, I look forward to seeing more of your models on ARC in the future!!!  It's an excellent looking Zero.

Hot Babe of the Week!  this week  from Twobobs are some F-16 photos courtesy of the Air Force Test Center and Keith C. Svendsen


Eric Hargett has done an outstanding job detailing and finishing his 1/48 Hasegawa Douglas A-4C Skyhawk. Eric added Eduard photo etch and finsihed his scooter with Aeromaster decals for a VA-93 (Blue Blazers) Skyhawk on the USS Enterprise that served in Vietnam, 1966.

Mark L. Rossmann is here with two of his beautifully finished 1/48 ICM P-51A's.  These two Mustangs were used by American forces to support the British Chindit expeditions into Burma during WW2.  Both of these early Mustangs were finished with decals from SuperScale.

Phil Mead joins us today with his stunning 1/48 Airfix DAP Canberra b20.  I'm pleased to see Phil finished his Canberra in Aussie markings.  Read his full article to learn all the work he did to turn out this great looking Canberra.  Beautifully done Phil.

Late update today....my kids are of from school today and it has been quite the busy family day around here.
Aaron D. Bennett has done an exceptionally nice job detailing and finishing his 1/48 Grand Phoenix Supermarine Seafire.  This beautifully done Seafire has Aires Resin, PE and Cartograf decals and some scratchbuilding by Aaron that when combined with Aaron's skill and patience provide a stunning example of this classic fighter.  Wow....I love it.

Eric BADE has done a truly flawless job on his 1/72 Hasegawa McDD F-4E Phantom II.  Eric used aftermarket items and some scratchbuilding following us by an amazing weathering job to complete this fantastic Hellenic Phantom.  Wonderful job Eric. 

Carmel J Attard joins us today with another gem.  This is his 1/72 AU 16e Escadron Percival Pembroke in Belgian Air Force markings.  Carmel explains in detail the history of the Percival Pembroke as well as what was required to produce his stunning example of the Percival Pembroke.  As usual Carmel dealt with problems during construction with skill and ease....this included making a new canopy.  Carmel always makes it seem so easy.

Chuck Sawyer is here with a very special Lanc.  This is his 1/48 Tamiya Lancaster Mark I. carefully modelled to match the Lancaster his Uncle was a crew member of in WW2.  Chuck used Eduard photo-etch, AeroMaster decals and some Belcher Bits engines along with plenty of his own scratchbuilt detailing to create this historical masterpiece.


Ian T.M. Holahan has put quite a bit of effort into his colourful 1/48 Hasegawa TA-4J AGGRESSOR.  Ian used Classic Airframes resin ejection seats and Steel Beach Intake plugs before giving it a great panel line shading jog and excellent looking aggressor paint job and aftermarket decals.

David Rapasi is here with his very attractive 1/32 Hasegawa Bf 109 G-10.  Dave chose a late war 109 with a great looking camo scheme and then finished it off with his flawless weathering job.  I love the look of this one.

  Saudi Arabia National Day 

Harv had a challenging time building the 1/72 MPM S-51, but Harv stuck with it and ended up with a great looking S-51 in Canadians markings.  It's pretty cool to see one of these in Canadian markings.  Well done Harv. 

Artur Oslizlo has done a lovely job building and weathering his 1/48 Academy Hawker Hunter FGA.9.  Artur added the Aires resin cockpit and main wheel bays to his Hunter before finishing it off with Aeromaster decals, but it is the weathering job that really impressed me. Exceptional work Artur.

Rafi Ben-Shahar is here with not one but two Fw-190 models today.  Rafi is here to show you his 1/48 RV Resin and Dragon Focke wulf Ta 152C.  Both of these model have their good points and Rafi explains all this in his article.  They are both impressive looking  Ta 152C models.

  Mali Independence Day 

I'm pleased to begin today's update with news of a new company that makes and sells decals for cockpit instrument panels They are called Airscale and I've added them to the ARC Air links pages. They have a good variety of products already in 1/24 and 1/32 scale., with more releases planned for the future. Airscale's focus is to produce cockpit instrumentation with a much higher degree of accuracy than you will find in kit parts or decals. They offer full panel decals as well as individual decals for each instrument, so they look like they have a product to suit each modeller. Check out their website.....you're going to love what you see.

Diego M. Pavese joins us today with his beautifully done blue nosed 1/48 Hasegawa P-51D Mustang.  Diego added plenty of extra detailing which was made simpler with his Hold and Fold photo etch bending tool from The Small Shop and Sprue Bros Sprue BrosDiego then painted his Mustang as a blue nosed Mustang flown by an Ace and added a flawless amount of weathering.

Stephan Mühlberger has done a stunningly beautiful job on his big 1/32 Revell MiG-29G.  Stephan used plenty of detail items from Zactomodels and Aires, CAM and Eduard, but it was his patience and skill that pulled this whole project together.

Shawn "Phantom" Weiler is here with a beauty.  This is his 1/48 Kenetic E-2C Hawkeye finished off with decals from Fighter town Decals Fighter town Decals and just the right amount of weathering.  You're going to love seeing the photos of this one.

  Malta Independence Day 

Hot Babe of the Week!  this week from Twobobs  is up courtesy of myself and the 389th Fighter Squadron. Pretty topical given that 9/11 was a few days ago. This artwork brought me back. Yesterday was the 63rd Birthday of the USAF and the last day of our USAF/ANG/RES Sale over here at Twobobs. Happy that many of you were able to partake!    Bob


Gabriel Stern is here with another of his wondrous models.  This is his Scratch-built 1/72 Deperdussin 1912 Gordon Bennett Race winner.  I was quite impressed when reading his article how advanced this 1912 racing plane was.  Beautiful job Gabriel. 

Andy Davies has done an amazing job on his 1/72 Trumpeter TU-22 M3 Backfire C.  Andy added aftermarket detail items and repositioned the flying surfaces before painting it and applying the 397 decals.  Awesome work Andy!!!

Ian Buick did an extensive amount of detailing on his 1/72 Italeri Apache AH.1.  Ian wanted to create a British Apache and I must say his finished model came out looking excellent in every way.  Ian provides some helpful tips in his article and tells about some of the areas he added his scratchbuilt details.

Dragan Cvetic is here with his very attractive 1/72 Hobbyboss MI-24V.  Dragon was impressed with the fit of this kit.  He finished it with custom made decals and a great looking camo scheme. 

Moises is here with his amazing 1/32 Trumpeter MiG-29K.  Moises gave his MiG-29K a beautiful camo scheme, flawless weathering and a full weapons load.  I love the look of this one.

Pjotr van der Ploeg is here with his second model on ARC.  This beautiful looking 1/72 Academy Hawker Typhoon has weathering that include exhaust stains on the fuselage and cannon smoke stains on the wings.  The Typhoon always looks excellent.

Rodrigo Loyola is here to honour his country's Independence Day with his 1/48 Mirage 50 “Pantera”.  Rodrigo added plenty of scratchbuilt and aftermarket detailing to his Mirage 50 “Pantera” and finished it up in a very attractive camo scheme and Chilean markings.  Excellent work Rodrigo.

"Harv" had a challenging time building the 1/72 RCAF Grumman Goblin.  Harv had a few challenging moments building his Canadian Golbin, but in the end he was rewarded with a sharp looking bi-plane worthy of any display case.

Shawn "phantom" Weiler is here with his 127th Phantom.  This is Shawn's very colourful 1/48 Hasegawa F-4F Phantom in Luftwaffe markings.  Shawn built it mostly OOB with a tiny bit of detailing and finished it off with Two Bobs decals. Gotta' love that.....nicely done Shawn. 

David Rapasi joins us with his weathered USMC 1/48 Tamiya FG-1A Corsairs.  This is one of the rare and special Goodyear Corsairs and Dave explains in his article some of the unique features of the Goodyear Corsairs.

Victor De Jesus joins us with his big and beautifully detailed 1/32 Hasegawa Focke Wolfe FW-190D-9.  Victor added plenty of details to his Dora including a resin cockpit and full weathering to create a battle weary fighter.  I love the way this model turned out.

Hristo Krumov has dropped by today with a great looking Bulgarian 1/72 MiG-23MF "Flogger".  This MiG-23MF had all the panel lines rescribed and was given a weathered paint chipped camo paint job and a full weapons load.  The paint was applied with a brush and the article explains a technique to get  a smooth finish. 

Andy Lee (torchf4) has been busy adding detail to the 1/35 Dragon AH-6J Little Bird.  Andy used resin items from Cobra Company and then modified the crew figures with added details to bring his chopper to life.  Very nicely done Andy.

Dave Johnson starts today with his very well done 1/48 Tamiya Mitsubishi A6M3/3a Zero (Zeke).  Today....15 Sept is the 65th anniversary  to the day that Wing Commander Bill Kofoed and Engineer Officer C D Kingsford of the RNZAF, flew to Kara airstrip to inspect this captured airframe.  Nice one Dave.  

Artur Oslizlo is here with a  gorgeous looking 1/48 Hasegawa F-4G Phantom.   Artur added an Aires cockpit, wheel bays and exhausts to improve the detail on his Phantom, but it is Artur's expert skill at modelling that really makes this model spectacular.  Check out the painting and shading on this one.....amazing..

Gabriel Stern is here today with quite the attractive little racer.  This is his 1/72 resin Choroszy Church Midwing racer.  Gabriel explains all about this particular kit and the tricks to turning out a stunning example of this very cool looking plane.  I love the fact it's a  monoplane with rigging and spoke wheels.

Oishi is here with another of his gems.  This is his 1/32 Trumpeter Me-262 that he added plenty of extra detail to, but it is his skill at painting the complicated camo on his Me 262 that just leaves me speechless.  This is a truly beautifully done Me 262. 

Ferdie Besseling is here with a lovely example of a Cessna 185 in South African markings.  This is his 1/48 Monogram Cessna 185 in the the attractive SAAF camo and those good looking SAAF markings.  Ferdie modified his Cessna 185 to SAAF specifications for added accuracy.  Very cool to see this bird. 

Ken Duffey is here with something very special today.  This is Ken's recently completed 1/72 'Resin Shop' Sukhoi PAK FA.  Ken tells about the flight testing earlier this year of this new jet as well as the pleasure he had building this very high quality resin kit.  She's a beauty Ken.

This weeks Twobobs Newsletter is up.  Bob has a very enjoyable model building story to share with you in this weeks Newsletter.  Bob also has decal artwork of some of the great looking images of the 1/72 F-5E Gomer sheets coming out as well as artwork for the 1/32-1/72 Diana sheets that was soon to be released. 

Florin Silaghi spent 3 months creating this beauty.  This is the 1/32 Jerry Rutman resin Hs-129B2 finished off in Royal Romanian Air Force markings.  I love the look of this big Hs-129B2.....it would be the center gem in anyone's display case.

David Qu did a beautiful job building, paint and weathering his 1/72 Trumpeter Chinese H-5 (IL-28).  David did an exceptionally nice job on the bare metal finish on his Chinese bomber.  David also shows you the bombs carried by this twin engine jet bomber as well as the Trumpeter 1/72 fuel tanker truck he built to go along with it.  Beautiful job David......it's a treat to see your latest model on ARC.

Peter Wilkinson has done a truly impressive job on his 1/48 Hasegawa P-38J Lightning.  Peter added an Aires cockpit set and some aftermarket decals to complete this lovely example of the P-38.

David Rapasi gets things started today with a yellow nosed bandit.  His 1/48 Tamiya Bf 109E-7 was given Dave's impeccable weathering job and finished in the markings for a 109 that fought in Libya. 

Arthur L. Caesar Jr. has done an extraordinary job on his 1/32 Kinetic F-86 Sabre.  Arthur gave it  a perfect baremetal finished and then chose the colorful markings for John Glenn's F-86.  I love the look of this Sabre.

Phillip Steele is here with something you won't see very often.  This is his flawless looking 1/72 Hasegawa CP 121 (CF2S) Tracker wearing Canadian markings.  Phillip put plenty of time and effort into his Tracker and you will appreciate that when you read his article and look at the pictures.

Sakis Georgiadis did a beautiful job building, detailing and finishing his 1/72 Fujimi A-7E Corsair.  Sakis used the Aires cockpit set to dress up the detail on his USN A-7 and then he finished it off with a full weapons load and a great looking set of markings that includes a sharks mouth on the intake. 

Bla’k Ja’k joins  today off with 2 highly detailed WW2 German bombers.  These are his 1/72 Revell Fw-200 C-8 Condor and He-177 A-6 Greif and they are loaded with a full weapons loads and all the wonderful detail that brings these aircraft to life. 

Chuang Xue Qian has been wonderfully creative in building this 1/48 Academy F-22I "Shamar".  This "What-if" Israeli F-22I has plenty of Israeli specific mods that you will enjoy reading about.  The finished model is wearing a classic Israeli camo scheme and include a full weapons load.

John Stathakos joins us from Greece with his first model on ARC.  This is his stunningly attractive 1/72 Academy PBY-4 Catalina in a  great looking 3 tone blue camo.  John's careful weathering and skill turned this into a model that I know you'll enjoy seeing.  Welcome to ARC John!!! 

Shawn "Phantom" Weiler is here with his latest Phantom and this time he chose a British Phantom.  This is Shawn's gorgeous looking 1/48 Hasegawa Phantom finished off with aftermarket decals that include a sharks mouth under the nose. 

Douglas Conrady should be given a  round of applause for his efforts in scratchbuilding his 1/350 RH-53D - Operation Eagle Claw.  These tiny little helos will grace the deck of his 1/350 Nimitz carrier he's building.  I look forward to following this project.

Kairasp Daruwala is here to mark the Pakistan Air Force Day in fine style with his 1/48 Trumpeter Pakistani JF-17 "Thunder".  This Pakistani fighter is wearing a very attractive paint scheme and is the perfect model for today.  Well done Kairasp....I love the way it looks!!! 

Rafi Ben-Shahar has done an impressive job finishing his 1/48 Accurate Miniatures IL-2 Stormovik. Rafi chose a very interesting route with regards to painting his Stormovik, he decided on a fresh from the factory look, before the plane had it's final painting.  A neat looking model and I do find the paint scheme a treat to see.

Fabio Bongiorno joins us from Italy with his first model on ARC and what a model it is.  This is his big 1/32 Tamiya kit of the F-4J Phantom II.  Fabio used Paragon Design resin seats and aftermarket decals to complete this very popular Phantom.  I look forward to seeing more of Fabio's work on ARC in the future.  Welcome to ARC Fabio!!!

Dragan Cvetic is here with a very rare and special plane today.  This is 1/72 Aeropoxy Soko J-22 Orao, which is a resin kit.  Dragan  did some extra scratchbuilding in the cockpit  to improve the detail on this little jet before opening the canopy with a scratchbuilt canopy to show off all that wonderful detail.

  Labor Day Holiday - Labour Day Holiday  

Ed Kinney starts today with a very pretty 1/32 Squadron/Czech Model T-33.  This particular T-33 flew with an Aerobatic Team in The Netherlands during the 60's.  Ed used plenty of aftermarket items and decals from different sheets to pull this whole wonderful project together.  The Vespa scooter in his diorama is a very nice touch. 

Serge Dompierre is here with one of those great looking Luftwaffe fighters in desert camo.  This is his 1/48 Hasegawa Messerschmitt 109F-4 as it appeared in Libya in 1943.  Excellent looking 109......I love these desert birds. 

Naor Aviv has done an absolutely stunning job on his 1/48 Hasegawa F-15D.  This F-15 was built out of the box with the addition of decals from Isradecal....you have to check out the number of stencils on this beauty....amazing work on the painting and weathering.

V-J Day  Japan surrenders in Tokyo Harbour

Lou Anatrella gets things started in fine style today with his absolutely stunning 1/72 Italeri USAF H-19B & 1/72 Revell Germany VNAF H-19C.  Both of these models are beauties and Lou deserves a round of applause for the job he did on them. 

David Rapasi is here with a real gem.  This is his 1/48 Academy F86-F30 Sabre Jet done up in USAF Korean war markings compelete with noseart.  Very colorful markings with noseart and a flawless mulit-shaded bare metal finish.  It doesn't get much prettier than this. 

Carmel J Attard is here with his very colorful 1/72 IML Fiat G50 Series II.  This is a neat little kit and it sure does build up into a sharp looking model.  Carmel chose an excellent looking camo scheme.

Michael Nunez starts today's update with his first article on ARC.  This is his great looking 1/32 Revell F-4E Israeli Phantom.  Michael did a bit of scratchbuilding to complete his Israeli F-4 and then gave it one of those good looking Israeli camo schemes complete with weathering.  Welcome to ARC Michael and I look forward to seeing more of your work on ARC in the future. 

Gabriel Stern is back today with another racer.  This is his bright red Vacuformed Classic Plane 1/72 Bristol 72 racer.  Yup....Gabriel actually used a kit for this one......but it was a vacufomed kit just to keep things interesting.  His article is a humorous read and full of pictures showing how be built this little beauty. 

Nick Winand had an enjoyable time creating his 1/72 PM Messerschmitt P.1111 and PM Lippisch P.13 Snow Diorama.  The finished diorama came out looking excellent and Nick shares some of his secrets in his article.  I look forward to seeing more of Nick's work on ARC in the future.
